Yerevan/Mediamax/. A new European Union Center opened at 43/34 Mashtots avenue in Yerevan today.
Head of EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea noted that "today the EU's cooperation with Armenia is more active than ever" and "the new Center will the heart of this cooperation".
Secretary of National Security Council of Armenia Artur Baghdasaryan noted in his turn that the opening of the Center is "a result of our interaction with the European Union over past 3-4 years".
According to Artur Baghdasaryan, Armenia currently implements around 80 programs jointly with the EU and the number may grow up to 150.
"We currently have an excellent cooperation process and the Center will give us extra opportunities", said Artur Baghdasaryan.
The EU Center makes part of the EU-funded "Assistance to EU Reforms in Armenia" project. The Center will also serve as Information Center on European Union.
