Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the cabinet meeting today about “inflation quakes” taking place over the past two years.

“The first was the pandemic, the second – the geopolitical developments, the events in Ukraine, and in this regard nothing optimistic is expected in future. It is clear that the prices of agricultural products will go up, and the profitability of cultivating uncultivated lands can be generated,” he said.

Pashinyan also said that a problem with irrigation water will also emerge.

“We will obviously face the issue, but it is more obvious that the traditional agriculture has no future and no prospects.” He noted that it is necessary to move forward with the imperative of proceeding to intensive agriculture.
