Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia’s Vice Prime Minister Suren Papikyan and Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin discussed today the situation created on Goris-Kapan road section.
Vice Prime Minister’s press service reports that the interlocutors stressed “Russia’s important and constructive role from the viewpoint of reducing the tension and finding solutions to the emerging problems.”
The parties also discussed the prospects of development of Armenian-Russian relations and referred to the security, defense, energy, infrastructure, new technology and entrepreneurship development issues.
They also referred to the work of the South Caucasian Railway, stressing its importance in the development of Armenia’s economy.
Papikyan and Kopirkin also touched upon the cooperation in energy sector. They referred to the enhancement of cooperation with Rosatom Corporation, in particular, to the current works on construction and upgrading of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and to the need and prospects of construction of new power nuclear unit.
