Ararat Mirzoyan is Armenia’s new Foreign Minister

Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has signed the decree on appointing Ararat Mirzoyan the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ararat Mirzoyan was born on November 23, 1979, in Yerevan. In 2000, he graduated from the Department of History at the Yerevan State University. In 2002, he received Master’s degree in the same department. In 2004, Mirzoyan completed the course at the Armenian Academy of Public Administration, and in 2005 - a postgraduate study at the Armenian National Academy of Sciences.

 

He is a founding member of the Civil Contract Party, and a member of the party Board since 2016.

 

In May 2018, Mirzoyan was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia.

 

In January 2019, he was elected President of the National Assembly.
