Yerevan /Mediamax/. Today at the parliament, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has commented on the statement former Chief of the army’s General Staff Onik Gasparyan made on November 17, 2020.

Onik Gasparyan stated in particular:

“On the fourth day of the war, during the Security Council meeting, I presented our losses and the assessment of the situation in the armed forces, noting that it was necessary to stop the war in two or three days, otherwise we would exhaust our resources quickly and have more unfavorable conditions for the negotiation process in the coming days.”

“That part of Onik Gasparyan’s statement contradicts reality. The Chief of General Staff did not make such a report. There is an official record to prove it, and it includes a recording of the report. On the contrary, Gasparyan told me that the enemy had made no progress. He said that the Armed Forces were fulfilling their duties and would do so to the end.”
