Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan considers his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, held on April 7, to be "very productive”.

The Armenian government’s press service has said that Pashinyan made this remark at the meeting with members of the Armenian Lawyers Association in Moscow.

“I am very happy with the results of our meeting. Of course, we have a very honest relationship with President Putin, and they have become more direct especially in the recent months. Today too we have discuss all matters of the bilateral agenda and touched on regional and even global relations.

We have discussed a number of documents, including those pertaining to defense, and implementation of the documents signed previously. We have agreements on the joint Armenian-Russian units and the common air defense system in the region, which are being implemented,” said Pashinyan, adding that he and Putin discussed a concrete plan and mechanisms for implementation of the agreements in the new regional situation.

“After the war, one of key issues on our agenda is army reforms, which we implement with support from our Russian colleagues. This was among the main topics of discussion.

We have also talked about the situation with return of our POWs and the agenda of discussions on communications in the region.

The strategic nature of Armenian-Russian relations and the strategic cooperation should be more intense, also given current challenges and situation we face,” stressed Nikol Pashinyan.
