Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov believes it is too early to set a date for a meeting with his Armenian counterpart.

“The co-chairs want to organize a meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers this fall. However, Armenia’s actions practically bring to nothing the efforts of the co-chairs. The ways Armenia undermines the conflict settlement process is not limited to the military attack of July 12,” Bayramov said in the interview to TASS ahead of his visit to Moscow, scheduled for August 26.

“Armenian leadership undermines the chances of resuming the negotiations by making statements about the need to consolidate the results of the war, excluding the possibility of withdrawal from the relevant territories, threatening strikes on Azerbaijani civilian settlements and carrying on the policy of illegal population of the occupied territories, which changes the demographic situation there. The list of the Armenian side’s aggressive statements and provocative actions goes on. It is too early to speak about setting a date for a Foreign Ministers’ meeting in these circumstances. We expect the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to provide guarantees that the Armenian side is ready to conduct substantive negotiations on withdrawal from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and elimination of other consequences of the conflict,” said Bayramov.
