Yerevan /Mediamax/. Newly appointed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has emphasized the importance of cooperation between the President, the Prime Minister, the government and the National Assembly.
“I’d like to note that we have had some experience in this kind of cooperation in the last 8 months. However, this is a new state of affairs, new institutional relations, so we should be able to create traditions that will guarantee clear division of powers, democracy, rule of law, and of course, a system of compromise and balance,” Pashinyan said at the meeting with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.
According to the Prime Minister, the level of state governance should be maintained.
“The citizens of the Republic of Armenia have to be confident that never again they will be deprived of their right to choose their government, never again there will be an attempt at that, and whoever tries to take that right from them will certainly fail,” noted Pashinyan.
President Sarkissian expressed his confidence that Prime Minister Pashinyan’s words were not just words, but convictions for which Pashinyan has belief and devotion.
“Your success means the success of Armenia, our people, all of us, including me,” said President Sarkissian.
