Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia has decided today to reject the appeal submitted by the defense lawyers of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.
“The decision of the Court of first instance remains unchanged. Robert Kocharyan will be arrested,” announced Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan.
According to him, the term of arrest is unclear at the moment.
Kocharyan’s defense lawyers are expected to make a statement later today.
On July 27, 2018 Yerevan Court of first instance, chaired by Judge Vahe Margaryan, decided to apply arrest as measure of restraint against Robert Kocharyan. The defense lawyers later appealed that decision.
