Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his hope today that Ilham Aliyev doesn’t intend to disrupt the agreements reached in Vienna.
Serzh Sargsyan made this statement after the meeting with Czech President today in Yerevan.
Armenian President expressed his concern over Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s recent “unstable behaviour”.
“In particular, the speech he delivered at the event called “4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis”, with cynical definitions of the state of Armenia and personal insults to the President of Armenia with whom he was to discuss issues a few days later, and ideas turning history into a joke left an impression of inadequate perception. I hope that this is a temporary issue, a childishness that will pass soon, as we are obliged to work seriously. I also hope that this behaviour is not aimed on disrupting the agreements reached in Vienna,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
Touching upon Armenia-Czech relations, Serzh Sargsyan said that “cooperation in interparliamentary, military-industry, education, science and culture fields and on international platforms became more active”.
Armenian President emphasized the Czech Republic’s continuous support in the progress of Armenia-EU cooperation.
“The Czech Republic is our reliable partner in Europe, and our relations are as high-level now as ever,” said Serzh Sargsyan, appreciating the Czech Republic’s position regarding the settlement of the NK conflict.
