Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will leave for Italy on official visit tonight and will have meetings with the country’s top leadership.
Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian President will pay a visit to Vittoriano Museum Complex on April 10, where he will attend “Armenia: People of Ark” exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial.
On April 11, Serzh Sargsyan will attend the ecclesiastical ceremony to be held by His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and cardinal Sepe and the opening and consecration ceremony of a monument – a cross-stone, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, which is the duplicate of one of Julfa cross-stones, in Naples.
The Armenian President is also scheduled to have a meeting with the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Italy.
Serzh Sargsyan will visit Vatican on April 12, where he will attend the liturgy dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial and held by the Pope at St. Peter's Basilica.
