Yerevan /Mediamax/. The political board of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) has passed a decision on canceling the rally due on February 20.
According to the press release disseminated by PAP Political Board, the decision was passed “considering the overstrained emotional state of the society in order to avoid possible provocations and clashes”.
The political board noted that the Yerevan Municipality “has created illegal obstacles” to the urgent gathering announced in advance.
“Through political consultations and employment of all legal ways we will find political solutions to overcome this situation and to protect the interests of the society”, reads the press release.
It should be noted that PAP, ANC and Heritage has issued a joint statement on the February 20 rally. ANC and Heritage have yet not made any statement concerning the cancelation of the rally.
