Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan stated today that the entry of the members of the Armenian parliament to Artsakh on April 12 was banned to avoid provocations in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The minister said about it at the parliament today.

“From the moment it became known that the NA deputies were not able to enter Nagorno Karabakh through the Lachin corridor, we contacted on a high level with both the NK and Russian authorities. We were assured that the deputies are not allowed to enter Artsakh to refrain from provocations.

As for our position, it is clearly reflected in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The trilateral statement of November 9 does not envisage any restrictions on movement through the Lachin corridor, and the citizens of Armenia, especially the deputies of the Armenian National Assembly, must have unimpeded entry to Nagorno Karabakh,” Ararat Mirzoyan said.
