Yerevan /Mediamax. Russian President Vladimir Putin today has stated that Moscow followed the key agreements reached between the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, the United States and France – in its efforts to stop hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
He has made this remark, speaking today at presentation of credentials by foreign ambassadors.
“The Russian peacekeeping mission monitors the observance of the ceasefire, ensures the safety of civilians, and accompanies returning refugees and humanitarian supplies. The situation is generally stabilizing.
The Russian Center for Humanitarian Response is also starting to work. It will provide assistance to residents of the affected areas, restore infrastructure, and create conditions for a normal, peaceful life. We count on significant participation of corresponding international organizations in these efforts. We base our work on the premise that all these efforts create preconditions for a long-term, comprehensive settlement of the long-standing conflict on a the basis of fairness and in the interests of the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples,” stated Putin.
