Zakharova: There is evidence of desecration

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova today has stated that the Russian leadership is in constant contact with the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia to coordinate work on the post-war settlement.

She has also said that the Russian peacekeepers and the Russian Foreign Ministry keep in their center of attention the shrines and cultural monuments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

“There is evidence of monstrous attempts to desecrate or destroy. On the other hand, you see how our peacekeepers are doing their best to protect shrines and cultural sites. This issue is one of the most pressing, but now, first of all, we are talking about the preservation of people’s lives, the return of refugees, the restoration of infrastructure and the provision of living conditions,” she said.
