Yerevan /Mediamax/. Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that there is no military solution to the Karabakh conflict, and Moscow does not share Ankara’s point of view on this issue.
According to RIA Novosti, speaking on the air of “Ekho Moskvy” radio station, Zakharova said:
“We have characterized our approach very clearly, saying that we do not see a military solution to this problem. As you have probably heard many times, Ankara has made other statements in this regard. I can only reaffirm once again Russia’s point of view that our country does not support the use of force to resolve this crisis, and we strive and urge the parties for an immediate cessation of hostilities.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated earlier today that Azerbaijan would not stop fighting until Nagorno Karabakh is completely under its control.
