Aliyev says he will never agree to a referendum in Karabakh

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated he is ready to meet Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow but he has not received an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Aliyev has made this statement in an interview with Japanese newspaper Nikkei, referred to by Russian media, in particular RIA Novosti.

 

At the same time, the President of Azerbaijan has described as “very distant” the prospects for settlement of the conflict with current authorities of Armenia.

 

Ilham Aliyev has also stated that Azerbaijan will never agree to a referendum on self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh.
