Yerevan /Mediamax/. In recent hours various media outlets have been reporting that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has allegedly agreed to the deployment of Russian peacekeepers.

In fact, Pashinyan never said such a thing.

Today, the governmental press service issued the transcript of the Prime Minister's interview to Al Jazeera, which contains such a passage.

- Would you like to see Russian peacekeepers, for example in Nagorno-Karabakh?

- These issues can be discussed in a broader context within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Thus, Pashinyan’s answer doesn’t imply that he agreed to the deployment of Russian peacekeepers.

Besides, peacekeepers can be deployed with the consent of all parties to the conflict.
