Yerevan /Mediamax/. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan issued a statement saying that he is leaving for the frontline.

“Heavy fights of various intensity are taking place along the entire line of contact. Civilian settlements, including capital Stepanakert, were shelled. The Nation and the Homeland are under treat. The right to live and create freely, independently and with dignity on our own land liberated at the cost of the blood of our brave Armenians is under threat. Therefore, I am now leaving for the frontline with special forces to fight my share of the battle, because I will be hence more valuable on the frontline than in the rear.

I call on all of you to immediately stand up and defend with complete devotion our inalienable right to live in our Homeland without ontological danger.

This is a holy patriotic war, which we must win with everyone’s maximum participation and dedication,” said the Artsakh President.

Arayik Harutyunyan is a participant of the first Artsakh war.
