Yerevan /Mediamax/. Representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that fierce fights took place today in the north and the south.
Using a large amount of tanks and artillery, the adversary tried to launch a large-scale attack and break through the frontline.
The fights lasted 6-7 hours without interruptions.
Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that they had managed to stop the advance of the enemy, inflicting heavy losses on the adversary.
“Azerbaijan lost 450 troops in today battles, the number of wounded exceeds 800.
The Armenian side destroyed 45 armored vehicles that had been on the battlefield. Another 8-9 armored vehicles were hit by a long-range fire. Also, 10 UAVs were shot down, bringing the total number of downed drones to 113,” said the representative of the Ministry of Defense.
“Our troops decide the fate of Armenian people by their heroic battles,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan added.
Ne also noted that changes of positions are frequent and there is no need to focus on them.
