Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with the U.S. National Security Advisor, Robert O’Brien.
Robert O’Brien expressed deep concern of the U.S. side over the current situation in the South Caucasus, the governmental press service reports. He reaffirmed the interest of the USA in immediate ceasefire and stability and the readiness to be useful for Armenia and the region.
The U.S. National Security Advisor stressed that the conflict has no military solution and reaffirmed the position of the USA over the settlement of the conflict as it was established in the joint statement issued by presidents of USA, Russia and France on October 1.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the fact of Turkey’s involvement in hostilities and sending mercenaries and terrorists from Syria to Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister stressed the need of withdrawing the mercenaries and terrorists from the region, without which the establishment of ceasefire is impossible.
