Yerevan /Mediamax/. Belarus and Azerbaijan support “resolution of NK conflict, which complies with the norms of international law”.
According to Belarusian Belta.by, this was mentioned in a joint statement, issued by Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan Alexander Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev on November 28, Baku.
“The sides attached importance to the regulation of NK issue is accordance with the norms of international law, taking into consideration first of all the right of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, as well as the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and OSCE decisions,” the statement reads.
Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan attached importance to giving additional political impetus to OSCE efforts for enhancing the regulation of NK issue.
According to the statement, the two sides will continue to invest coordinated efforts in providing international and regional security.
Alexander Lukashenko stated at the end of the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, that “Azerbaijan can rely on Belarus as a close friend”.
Alexander Lukashenko received Heydar Aliyev Order in Baku.
