Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian President’s aide Yuri Ushakov stated today that Moscow "doesn’t feel very optimistic” about the NK issue settlement taking place in near future.
“I wouldn’t say that we’re very optimistic about the settlement of this issue taking place in near future. But we will continue persistent work with Baku and Yerevan,” RIA Novosti quoted Ushakov.
He noted that many options and proposals are being discussed, “But I repeat, there are no reasons to be particularly optimistic”.
Answering the question on the reasons of weapons supply to Armenia, Yuri Ushakov stressed that Russia is Armenia’s ally and has the right to supply the weapons agreed upon with partners.
“There is nothing unexpected for anyone here, for Azerbaijani partners as well, in my opinion. As you know, weapons are supplied to Azerbaijan too,” Ushakov said.
