Yerevan /Mediamax/. NKR President Bako Sahakyan said at the meeting with journalists in Stepanakert today that “We’re ready to make sacrifices, we’re ready to bear hardships to gain ultimate freedom”.
He noticed that upon breaking free through liberation movement from Azerbaijani captivity that Stalin bound on Armenians in 1921, Artsakh began building its life and future.
“We don’t fight for territories today, we fight for our homeland. We don’t just solve the issue of physical safety of Artsakh’s popilation. Armenian nation is fighting for its self-respect, and we are at the front of that fight, as Homeland matters the most,” said Bako Sahakyan.
“We’re ready to make sacrifices, we’re ready to bear hardships to gain ultimate freedom,” stressed he.
Bako Sahakyan stated that NKR Defense Army brilliantly carried out its tasks and stopped the rival’s advance, downing its weaponry and soldiers.
NKR President said that people in Artsakh want international community to pay attention to NK issue not only in war time.
“The gap between Artsakh and the rest of the world is incomprehensible, as we chose to sculpt our destiny according to democratic principles and to become a full part of international community,” said he.
