Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today that preparation work on demarcation and unblocking, as well as work on normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku are initially based on the agreements reached during the meeting of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Lavrov said this at a joint news conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, referring to the issue on setting up a bilateral delimitation commission – an agreement reached between the Armenian prime minister and Azerbaijani president during the meeting brokered by the President of the European Council Charles Michel.

“I would like our European partners in Brussels to understand that this line has already been created by the three leaders in 2020 and 2021, and they will not try to make corrections.

I noticed that Russia is not mentioned anywhere in Charles Michel’s statement, this speaks about the fact that for the EU leadership it is important to develop what has already been achieved or to use the Karabakh issue to stand out with their Russophobia. Russia will never sacrifice the interests of its allies for any geopolitical, especially propaganda games,” Lavrov said.

The Russian minister noted that the decision of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan about setting up bilateral demarcation commission with Russia’s consultative participation remains in force.
