Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan stated that agreements reached as a result of the meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the President of the European Council Charles Michel in Brussels on April 6 "are in line with the interests of Baku”.

“The meeting is another important step to ensure the future development of the region in conditions of peace and security and is in line with the interests of Baku,” Interfax-Azerbaijan quoted the statement of the ministry.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry notes that following the meeting, an agreement was reached to instruct the Ministers of Foreign Affairs to work on a future peace treaty based on the initiative proposed by Azerbaijan a year ago and the basic principles presented by Baku a while ago.
