Yerevan /Mediamax/. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken thanked Turkey for “its strong support” of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Blinken stated this during the phone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
Secretary Blinken expressed appreciation for the solidarity among partners and allies in confronting this crisis in Ukraine.
“Secretary Blinken expressed his appreciation for Turkey’s continued implementation of the Montreux Convention and Foreign Minister Cavusoglu’s recent comments on this issue,” the statement of the U.S. Department of State reads.
