In a telephone conversation with UN Secretary General António Guterres, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan pointed out that all the issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process should be discussed exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
The UN Secretary General reaffirmed the support to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship format, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed António Guterres on the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh as a result of the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression and the steps taken by the authorities of Artsakh and Armenia.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the need to protect and restore the rights of displaced Armenians of Artsakh and the important role of the UN in that process within the framework of the international mandate entrusted to it.
Both parties stressed the need to preserve the Armenian historical and cultural heritage endangered in Artsakh as a result of the Azerbaijani occupation.
