Yerevan /Mediamax. Today Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, presenting in detail the Azernaijani-Turkish military offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh as well as the situation and the challenges created by the aggression.

Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated:

“The letter particularly emphasizes the transfer of foreign terrorists from the Middle East and their involvement in hostilities against Nagorno-Karabakh.

Given the fact of the hostilities approaching the border of the Republic of Armenia and the encroachments on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister has applied to the Russian President for immediate consultations to determine the type and amount of assistance that Russia can provide, taking into account the allied relations between Armenia and Russia as well as Article 2 of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, signed on August 29, 1997.”
