Yerevan/Mediamax/. Deputy Chairman of RPA election headquarters, the head of the Armenian delegation to PACE, David Harutyunyan, said today that May 6 parliamentary elections “were really held at a proper level.”
“It doesn’t mean that there were no corrections of course, but the shortcomings should be taken into consideration in order to hold next elections at higher level,” David Harutyunyan told Mediamax.
He expressed the opinion that the observers’ assessments were generally positive. David Harutyunyan noted that the elections will be discussed the session of PACE Standing Committee in Tirana this June.
According to preliminary data the Republican Party of Armenia will have 68 seats in the parliament.
