Yerevan/Mediamax/. Coordinator for the OSCE short-term observation mission Francois-Xavier de Donnea said in Yerevan today that "in some respect, yesterday’s elections were progress as compared to the previous ones but there were some setbacks as well which bear witness to the need for continuing improvement”.
Answering Mediamax’s question, Francois-Xavier de Donnea noted that the main problem was perhaps that the electoral commissions didn’t always fully comply with their functions envisaged by the law on elections.
Answering Mediamax’s question, head of the European Parliament Delegation Christoph Lisek said in his turn that the problem is not the laws on elections but their implementation.
