Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenia has improved its ratings in two international indices published during last two weeks.
Addressing the session of the government today, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that one of them is the Heritage Foundation’s Index of Economic Freedom where Armenia is ranked the 36th among 180 countries, Mediamax reports.
The second index is the Information Society Report of the International Telecommunication Union, where Armenia has registered progress in the sphere of development of information and telecommunication technologies.
The Prime Minister also said that in Heritage Foundation’s Index Armenia still yields to Georgia (which is on the 29th place) but outstrips Azerbaijan and Turkey (Azerbaijan is ranked 92d and Turkey 67th).
“Our opponents should debate not with the government but with the competent international organizations which endorse these assessments and ratings,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
