Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Ministry of Defense reports that as of 10 a.m. today the situation in the eastern border of Armenia, where the Armenian positions were attacked by the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces the day before, is relatively stable, the ceasefire agreement is generally observed.
“As a result of November 16 hostilities the adversary has up to 70 killed and wounded servicemen as well as significant loss of military equipment, in particular 4 BTR (armored personnel carriers), 1 Sandcat armored vehicle, 5 vehicles (Kamaz, Ural, UAZ).
The Armenian side has one killed and 13 captured servicemen. Connection with other 24 servicemen was lost during military activities and their fate is unknown as of the moment.
Intensive works are underway to find the servicemen. Two combat positions passed under control of the adversary. Negotiations are underway with the mediation of the Russian side to resolve the created situation and return the captured Armenian servicemen. In case of new information, the Ministry of Defense will come up with a corresponding message,” the ministry said in a statement.
