Yerevan /Mediamax/. Representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that this afternoon the fighting in Artsakh intensified again, especially in the southern direction.
Azerbaijan has attempted a large-scale offensive along the Araks River.
The enemy used artillery, armored vehicles, infantry, mobile groups, which do not operate under the auspices of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
“The Azerbaijani armed forces left 300 killed, lost 11 armored vehicles, 2 helicopters, 2 UAVs,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.
He said that the Armenian Armed Forces do not conduct defensive battles only; “they often carry out other types of military exercises, the nature and success of which we often record only after they are over.”
“There is not a day that our Armed Forces do not destroy an Azerbaijani military object. This is something we don’t report often. The war is going on, it is a large-scale war, there are battles of different sizes, maneuvers, successes or failures,” he said, emphasizing that the Armenian troops are constantly showing examples of heroism.
