Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Armenian Government approved the draft decision on formation of State order for military needs during today’s session.
This will be a base for the Armenian military industry to systemize its work and implement a unified military strategy.
According to Minister of Defense of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan, Armenian military industry will undergo a unified legal regulation, and state order for military needs will be provided on time, which will give the opportunity to implement systematic reforms and develop military industry.
The Government approved the offer to extend the terms of the “Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Armenia Concerning Cooperation in the Area of the Counter proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction”, issued on July 24, 2000.
Vigen Sargsyan noted that extension of the agreement is aimed at providing relevant equipment, financial resources, free technologies, staff training, etc., to prevent dissemination of weapons of mass destruction.
