Yerevan /Mediamax/. The rival took an attempt of subversive penetration in the direction of northeast (Talish), NKR and Azerbaijani Armed Forces contact line today, at 04:30 local time.
The Defense Army subdivisions balanced Azerbaijani Special Forces advancing on time and threw them back to their initial position, causing loses.
During the fight, Defense Army soldier Erik Grigoryan (born in1995) was fatally wounded.
An investigation is being conducted to find out the details of the incident.
Besides the subversion, the ceasefire was violated by the rival for 80 times in the direction of Armenian forces at night of December 3 and December 4 morning. The rival fired over 65 shots from artillery armory of various calibers, AOP-17, RPG-7 grenade launchers and TR-107 jet rocket installation.
According to Defense Army press service, the Azerbaijani side currently continues to violate the ceasefire with mortar and rocket weapons of different calibers.
“Punitive measures are taken by Defense Army subdivisions to suppress the rival’s attacks”, Defense Army states.
