Armenia’s steps towards EU
It's already the seventh time that we have tried to sum up the steps we made toward the European Integration by initiating ''National and European Dimensions of the Eastern Partnership'' Conference this year.

Tangible follow-up is needed
It seems that in the Armenian context Track Two Diplomacy (T2D) projects tend to address the Armenian-Turkish relations, and rarely the Nagorno Karabakh issue. However, on October 15-17 a very interesting event was organized in Washington, DC with the aim to discuss the possibilities that T2D projects can open up for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue.

Racist pleasures and Aliyev’s sincerity
Some may remember the joke about the trade-offs to get stuff: three people talk about how they get things, and the first two start a lengthy story about what that had to trade off for one or the other achievement. The third suddenly feels inspired with the honest conversation and confesses that stuff has happened to him, but only twice, and as a matter of fact, all he got was pleasure (hey, guys, as we’re shooting straight…). In fact, this is a little fun story about how one misinterprets the game the others play, adopts the street jargon and decides that he can also participate, thus messing up the whole show and embarrassing himself.

After Kazan, or what was so important to convey to Europe?
It has already been two days that diplomats, experts and politicians worldwide learnt the real picture of the negotiations regarding the Nagorno Karabakh (NK) conflict, after the meeting in Kazan. Regardless of the attempts of the international media to equally hold Armenia and Azerbaijan responsible for the failure of the negotiations by following the ‘good old’ logic of keeping parity, expert communities no longer have any doubts that Azerbaijan is the one to fail the process of reaching any results. Indeed, when you meet to finalize a decision and all of a sudden are presented with ten new surprise suggestions, it is but clear that the one to come up with new recommendations is not serious. One may try to understand when one or two, even three new issues or approaches are brought to the table, but when the number is ten, it is clear that "it did not work this time as well”.

Symbolism in Peacemaking
On June 25 the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Kazan under the auspices of President Medvedev. Some think that this in fact is going to be a meeting where the future of the Minsk Group will be at stake, rather than the Karabakh issue will be discussed.

Do We Have a Culture of Mutual Gains?
Achieving economic and social progress requires responsibility, vision, discipline, cooperation and most of all understanding mutual interests and partnership for development.

“Our governments have learned how to imitate reforms in response to external pressure”
Does the European Union (EU) provide sufficient reasons to the national governments of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries to implement reforms?
