Yerevan/Mediamax/. Association of Tourist Agencies of Turkey (TURSAB) will organize a familiarization trip to Armenia for Turkish tourists in fall, 2011.
Yeghishe Tanashyan, who has organized CTS-2011 exhibition, launched in Yerevan today, said this answering the question of Mediamax. 20 best tourism operators of Turkey will participate in organization of the trip.
Yeghishe Tanashyan noted that the inflow of Turkish tourists to Armenia has stirred up over the past 1-2 years. Armenia-Georgia-Azerbaijan regional visits are popular not only among Turks, but also representatives of other nationalities, he noted.
Yeghishe Tanashyan said that restoration and reestablishment works in the principal cathedral in Ani and Holy Savior Church, planned by Turkish authorities for 2012, will attract a flow of tourists.
“The flow of tourists will increase, just like it was with restoration of Surb Khach Church in Van. But in case of Ani, bigger inflow is expected, since the ancient capital of Armenia is better known abroad as a cultural-historical monument”, he said.
