Yerevan /Mediamax/. The European Union is willing to continue developing comprehensive relations with Armenia in all the areas compatible with Armenia's recently stated decision on joining the Customs Union.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton said this during her meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Brussels on October 8, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reports.

In his turn, the Armenian FM stressed that Armenia is willing to promote relations with EU in all the possible areas based on the achievements made over past several years and progress in bilateral relations.

“With the EU's support, Armenia passed an important path of changes. We resolve to continue the process of reforms toward democracy, human rights and reinforcement of supremacy of law, improvement of legal and judicial system and combating corruption. We expect EU’s further support in this process”, said the Armenian FM.
