Yerevan /Mediamax/. Tests of the set of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Gunner-2 started in the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia.

The test flights are carried out in the afternoon and at night in various climate conditions, Mediamax was told in the press service of the South Military District of Russian Armed Forces.

“Modern technology installed in the UAV sets allows tracking several targets at the same time even through clouds and at night. The fact that these new objects are fully invisible from the earth is one of the most important factors. Gunner-2 complex comprises 4 types of Grenade UAVs. The sets have various targets allowing to fulfill reconnaissance and special-mission tasks, have high duration and altitude of flight which is critical for tasks carried out in the mountains. Their operation is simple and safe, they are capable of addressing a broad range of issues in the interests of the reconnaissance”, the press service informed.

Tactical exercises will be carried out in the training complexes of Kahmud and Alagyaz during which the effectiveness of the new equipment will be fully assessed.
