Today we live in a society, which can not imagine life without expressing views on social media. Probably it does have certain advantages. Nevertheless, many participants of active discussions have already forgotten or do not even know about the developments, which unfolded in Armenia 5, 10 or 15 years ago.

To fill the gap Mediamax presents 5/10/15 project, which introduce developments in Armenia 5, 10 and 15 years ago.

He noted that “even experienced economists are pleasantly surprised by the economic indices of Armenia”.

According to him, it was difficult to forecast in the beginning of the year that in July the GDP growth in Armenia will make 11.7%.

The journalistic organizations demand

A number of journalistic organizations of Armenia came out with a statement on September 7, in which they demanded finding and punishing the people, who performed and ordered the attack on the editor of the “Iravunk” newspaper Hovhannes Galajian.

“In the morning of September 6, our colleague and the editor of the “Iravunk” newspaper Hovhannes Galajian was attacked and beaten. During the latest months, cases of threats and violence against journalists and the media have become more frequent, yet those guilty either have not been found or have not been punished. We have repeatedly announced that the unpunished encroachments upon freedom of speech and press thus generate new crimes: people, not capable of leading a civilized dialogue, choose the way of threatening journalists and the media,” the statement said.

Orders to Gafesjian and Ernekian

On September 8 Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian signed decrees on rewarding two notable representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, Jerald Gafesjian and Eduardo Ernekian, with “Saint Mesrop Mashtots” orders.

The orders were rewarded to Jerald Gafesjian and Eduardo Ernekian “for significant contributions to their homeland” and in connection with the 15th anniversary of independence of Armenia.

“In a single context”

On September 8 President of Turkey Abdullah Gul stated that “normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia as well as between Turkey and Armenia shouldn’t be considered as a separate process. It should be considered on an all-regional basis”.

Abdullah Gul said in his interview to “Moskovskiy Komsomolets” newspaper that “the Nagorno Karabakh issue is currently the major hindrance in achieving favorable climate in the South Caucasus” and “Turkey’s opinion on this issue coincides with the viewpoint of the Russian Federation”.

“We are ready to fully support searching of the settlement of the issue which is being resolved by the Russian President’s personal participation as well as to make all the necessary efforts for further settlement of the conflict,” noted the Turkish President.

Abdullah Gul stressed that the progress achieved on this path will undoubtedly have a positive impact on Turkish-Armenian relations.

“This is Turkey’s stance on normalization of relations with Armenia. We frankly want the successful completion of the normalization process. Normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia as well as Turkish-Armenian relations shouldn’t be regarded as separate processes within the process of creating stable peace in the Southern Caucasus and establishing cooperation and ensuring welfare in the countries and regions outside its territory. It should be considered on an all-regional basis”, stated Abdullah Gul.

We discussed multiple issues. I received a positive answer from the man who is ready to lead the wave of changes, and I saw in him confidence and faith that our goals are realistic and achievable,” Armenian President said.
