Yerevan/Mediamax/. Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan said today that he is going to resign due to his moving to another job and for personal reasons.
The Mayor said in his exclusive interview to “ArmNews” TV channel that “there is no point in overloading the public with the details of these reasons”, Mediamax reports.
Karen Karapetyan didn’t deny the information that he would work in Russia.
Yerevan Mayor said that the decision on the resignation “was a tough one”.
Karen Karapetyan refuted the rumors according to which his resignation resulted from discords within the authorities. He said that he “enjoyed the full trust” of the Armenian President and Serzh Sargsyan played a major role in his formation.
Karen Karapetyan also called “ridiculous” the news regarding his discords with the Armenian President’s Staff.
