Yerevan /Mediamax/. Union of Armenians of Russia disseminated a statement today which reads that “on April 5, flowers will be laid in front of Syrian Embassy in Russia to commemorate the victims of Kessab killed by Turkish-Syrian extremists”.

“The recent tragic events in the Armenian-populated Syrian town of Kessab once again come to show the international community the real face of the so-called Syrian opposition. As a result of attacks made by radical Islamic groups with the support and participation of Turkey peaceful residents - Armenians, Russians and representatives of other nationalities - are being killed and dislocated from their houses”, the statement disseminated on behalf of Vice President of Union of Armenians of Russia Levon Mukanyan reads.

Mediamax notes that the members of the Armenian National Assembly delegation who visited Syria last week were repeatedly stating that no victims were reported in Kessab.

Over the past days, a number of Russian media are disseminating videos and photos allegedly presenting the “slaughter of Armenians” in Kessab, which in reality has nothing to do with the events taking place in this part of Syria.
