Yerevan/Mediamax/. Deep Purple lead singer Ian Gillan and guitarist of Black Sabbath Tony Iommi will release an album of their WhoCares ad-hoc band on June 22. The money from the sales of the album will be allocated for restoring a music school in Armenia.

The album will comprise 2 songs from the WhoCares single (Out Of My Mind and Holy Water) released in May 2011 and also Gillan’s and Iommi’s unreleased and rare material, Mediamax reports quoting earMUSIC.

 

Studio jam-composition of Deep Purple “Dick Pimple” which was created while working on Purpendicular album and which hasn’t been released yet will be included in the album. Unreleased “Easy Come Easy Go” recorded by Ian Gillan with Repo Depo group which the vocalist established before returning to Deep Purple will also be included in the album.

 

The album will also comprise 2 compositions by Tony Iommi recorded in cooperation with Glenn Hughes as well as the acoustic version of “When a Blind Man Cries” song which is released for the first time and was recorded by Ian Gillan during his singing at Absolute Radio as well as other songs.

 

The project of reconstruction of Gyumri N6 school is coordinated by Mediamax, Do Something Australian organization and Fund for Armenian Relief which will announce the date of the start of the construction in the nearest future.
