Yerevan /Mediamax/. At an extraordinary meeting today, the government of Armenia has approved the proposal to extend the state of emergency from 17:00 April 14 until 17:00 May 14.

Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan has announced that the proposal annuls the restrictions imposed on the media, which concern the information about the coronavirus pandemic.

“If further media monitoring shows that fake news are spreading, the government might re-impose the restrictions,” he said.

The government’s proposal will be submitted to the National Assembly, which will consider it and conduct the corresponding vote at an extraordinary session.
