Yerevan/Mediamax/. A scandal around "Putin” club is brewing in Armenia.
“Youth Union of the CIS Countries” headed by Andranik Nikoghosyan who is the initiator of establishing “Putin” club disseminated a statement today as to which the opening of the club will be held in a week, on February 2, Mediamax reports.
“The idea of establishing “Putin” club in Armenia was recently supported by a dozen of public figures and organizations as well as leaders of three political parties – Chairman of the Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of “Constitutional Right Union” Hayk Babukhanyan and leader of Ramkavar-Azatakan Party Harutyun Arakelyan”, the statement reads.
Mediamax contacted leader of Democratic Party of Armenia Aram Sargsyan who categorically denied the information on his support to “Putin” club.
“It’s the first time I hear about that. Nobody talked on this topic with Nikoghosyan. There was no such conversation”, said Aram Sargsyan to Mediamax.
According to him, one should first of all clarify the goal of a club if it is going to be established.
