Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has announced that the meeting of the commission on prevention of coronavirus has just concluded the meeting.
Following the discussions, the commission has decided to:
1. Halt overland transport communication with Iran for two weeks.
2. Apply partial restrictions to air traffic.
3. Continue cargo transportation with Iran without restrictions but with an oversight policy toward the drivers.
4. Apply no restrictions toward the citizens of Armenia and Iran returning home.
5. Maintain close connection with the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran in the next two weeks and complete the information about the scale of spread of coronavirus in Iran for clarification of further actions.
“It should be noted that Armenia does not and, I hope, will not have any cases of coronavirus. Armenia has all required technical and expert resources to correctly diagnose coronavirus,” the Prime Minister said in a Facebook post.
