Yerevan /Mediamax/. Mediamax Media Company, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and Gibson Brands have announced the winner of a joint special contest held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Rock Aid Armenia project.

28 Armenian guitar players took part in the contest. Tony Iommi and Gibson Brands have named Khoren Mikayelian as the winner:

On 5 June 2019, Yerevan will host a gala night to mark the 30th anniversary of the Rock Aid Armenia charity project. It will feature Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi and Rock Aid Armenia founder Jon Dee.

During the gala night Tony Iommi will award Khoren Mikayelian with a signed Gibson SG Standard 2019 Ebony guitar.

The sponsor of Rock Aid Armenia’s 30th anniversary celebrations and the rock stars’ visit is IDBank. Koor Wines is the partner of the event. The visit and celebration of the anniversary are being organized by the Mediamax Media Company and DoSomething (Australia), whose co-founder Jon Dee organized the 1989 Rock Aid Armenia project to help the victims of the Armenian earthquake.
