Yerevan /Mediamax/. On September 17 and 18, 3 sports grounds, 1 stadium and 2 classrooms opened in 6 schools of Berd town of Tavush marz and adjacent villages.
The sports grounds and classrooms have been built and repaired within the educational component of the 5-year “Breaking the Cycle of Poverty in Tavush” project launched by Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) in 2013.
The project has supported over 10 schools and kindergartens.
In particular, the military science classroom has been repaired and furnished at N1 school in Berd and has been named in honor of fighter Vahan Baghdasaryan.
Previously, the FAR also supported reconstruction of sports and gyms grounds of N1 school in Berd; the school was also equipped with sports items.
A sports ground and toilet has been built at the Nerkin Karmraghbyur village school. The sports ground of Paravakar village has been reconstructed, financial assistance has been rendered to place a drinkable water pipeline in the school.
New stadiums have been built in Berd high school and N3 school.
