Yerevan/Mediamax/. Head of the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Police of Armenia Ashot Aharonian talked to the protesters on Baghramyan Avenue today calling on them not to be used by certain forces.

In particular, he said that according to recent information the police received, certain forces will be attempting to take steps in the upcoming days to bring the barricades closer to the police forces, to put up tents and so on.

“This decision was made a few kilometers from here,” said Ashot Aharonian.

He stressed that the police have no intention to use force against the peaceful protesters but will not tolerate if certain forces twist the situation for other purposes.

“Guys, don’t let anyone use you. They will attempt to do everything through you,” said the police representative.

Davit Sanasaryan, one of the coordinators of the initiative, told journalists that “speeches will be addressed at 9 pm today and in case of receiving the people’s approval, they will embark on a decisive phase.” Without specifying the details he just said, “We have several options.”

Davit Sanasaryan said their steps “will be peaceful but resolute.”
